This blog started as a way to document our life on the Appalachian Trail. Serial is a successful thru-hiker (completed all 2,180+ miles in 2007) and we spent 3 years living in Damascus, VA, a tiny town that the AT runs right through. In the summer of 2012, we left our jobs and our home to hike a 1,350 mile section in 4 months, while living in our tent. You can read all about it here.
These days we call North Carolina our home, where we continue our love affair with the woods. We still blog about our hiking and trail running adventures, which has allowed us to connect with other hikers from all over the world. We also blog about our home life and our adorable dog, Rooney, so grab a seat and take a look around. We're glad you're here! Update! Life has become busy in a great way, so we don't have a lot of time for blogging these days. We've left the site up as a reference, and we do check our blog emails whenever we can, but we are no longer actively posting or commenting. Thanks for understanding and have a wonderful day! |
