For those who like extra adventure, there's a second entrance to the preserve on the other side of the railroad tracks where there's an open field and access to the Calumet River.

Located right off I-94 at exit 69, Beaubien Woods is one of our go to forest preserve to run the dog. With a mix of wooded area and open field, plus a lake, there is plenty to explore and space to find seclusion. Typically, there aren't many folks, if any, and that's the main reason why we go there so often. While this place won't knock your socks off, it does suffice if you are looking for a place to let the dog(s) out.
