Grayson Highlands State Park 2007

Here are some pictures from my thru hike of the Grayson Highlands State Park. I actually had hiked through here before Trail Days, but loved it so much, I decided to leave from Damascus after Trail Days. In truth, I spent 17 days in Damascus, first hanging out, then getting a job at The Old Mill, but I definitely became a local and is the main reason why I returned less than 2 years later to live! The Grayson Highlands are an amazing hiking opportunity that rivals anything on the east coast, or the entire country for that matter. It may not have the "epic" views associated with the west coast, but it's beauty is undeniable and even a grainy, disposable camera can't stop it's awesomeness. This park is a must for any avid hiker.
