Pennsylvania 2007

The infamous rocks of PA are real. They're big, stick out at awkward angles and force your ankles to contort in seemingly unnatural positions just to stay up right. For people with any type of lower body soreness at this point often feel the brunt of the rocks beneath them on a daily basis. It's also summer by the time you get to PA and the berries are out! I love picking the berries! The picture below was taken on one of my favorite days ever on the trail. It took us 5 hours to do 8 miles because we were picking, eating and storing blueberries, black berries, strawberries, mulberries and cherries. Berries galore! I also learned that berries will not keep long in a Gatorade container in the summer heat.
