Kitchen Love
As a lifetime vegetarian, I have a deep appreciation for local farms & fresh, whole foods. All of my recipes are vegetarian (no meat, eggs or fish). Many are vegan (no animal products at all) and/or raw (prepared at 115 degrees or less.) While we strive to have a healthy diet overall, we both have a sweet tooth that just cannot be ignored. The goal of our recipes is to satisfy the craving without eating an entire day's worth of calories in sugar.
You can read more about our diet here.
And let's not forget, I'm a kitchen gadget nerd. I love them all and should never be left alone in the kitchen aisle of any store. You can read which products I use in my kitchen (and more importantly, what I think of them) by clicking here.
Update! Life has become busy in a great way, so we don't have a lot of time for blogging these days. We've left the site up as a reference, and we do check our blog emails whenever we can, but we are no longer actively posting or commenting. Thanks for understanding and have a wonderful day! We lived on the Appalachian Trail (the AT) for 3 years, in a small trail town called Damascus, VA. It was amazing and we fell deeper in love with the AT community. In the summer of 2012, all three of us set out to spend the summer hiking the trail. When it was all said and done, we hiked 1,400 miles in 4 months and learned so much about ourselves.
